Description:

Vitamin A Palmitate, also called Retinyl palmitate, is the ester of retinol (vitamin A) and palmitic acid, with formula C36H60O2. An alternate spelling, retinol palmitate.

Vitamin A Palmitate is a synthetic alternate for retinyl acetate in vitamin A supplements, and is available in oily or dry forms. It is a commonly used vitamin supplement. It is used in both oral and injectable forms for vitamin A deficiency cure. Vitamin A Palmitate is also used as an anti-oxidant and a source of vitamin A added to low fat milk and other dairy products to replace the vitamin A content lost through the removal of milk fat. Vitamin A Palmitate is also important to some topically applied skin care products. After the absorption of Vitamin A Palmitate into our skin, it will be converted to retinol. Finally, it will be the form of retinoic acid.

Vitamin A is a group of unsaturated nutritional organic compounds, which includes retinol, retinal, retinoic acid, and several provitamin A carotenoids, among which beta-carotene is very important.

Vitamin A Palmitate has multiple functions: it is important for growth and development, for the maintenance of the immune system and good vision. Vitamin A Palmitate is needed by the retina of the eye in the form of retinal, which combines with protein opsin to form rhodopsin, the light-absorbing molecule, that is necessary for both low-light (scotopic vision) and color vision. Vitamin A Palmitate also functions in a very different role as an irreversibly oxidized form of retinol known as retinoic acid, which is an important hormone-like growth factor for epithelial and other cells.

As a professional China Vitamin A Palmitate Powder or Oil Pharmaceutical grade and food grade supplier and Manufacturer, FENGCHEN GROUP CO., LTD has been supplying and exporting Vitamin A Palmitate Powder or Oil food grade and pharma grade from China for almost 10 years.

Functions:

Vitamin A palmitate pharmaceutical grade and food grade or Retinyl Palmitate is not considered to be the same ingredient as retinol, although it is converted to retinol, and then to the active component of retinoic acid once it is absorbed by the skin after being topically applied. Chemically, Vitamin A palmitate pharmaceutical grade and food grade or Retinyl Palmitate belongs to the family of chemical compounds named retinoids. It is one of the most important vitamins for our skin health due to its small molecular structures. These tiny molecules (Vitamin A palmitate pharmaceutical grade and food grade or Retinyl Palmitate) is able to penetrate the outer layers of the skin and work to repair the lower layers where collagen and elastin reside.

Vitamin A palmitate pharmaceutical grade and food grade or Retinyl Palmitate is considered to be a less irritating type of retinol. Moreover, it is a gentler ingredient on sensitive skin. However, the reason Vitamin A palmitate pharmaceutical grade and food grade or Retinyl Palmitate may cause less irritation is due to the lengthier process which has to take place for it to be converted into retinoic acid, the active compound which creates the cell regeneration and exfoliation action within the skin. Vitamin A palmitate pharmaceutical grade and food grade or Retinyl Palmitate converts into retinol (or vitamin A), which in turn is converted into retinoic acid by specialized enzymes in the skin. Retinoic acid will facilitate the communications between cells, encouraging aging cells to continue their renewal process, and regenerate collagen and elastin to prevent the appearance of aging skin, wrinkles, and fine lines. With Vitamin A palmitate pharmaceutical grade and food grade or Retinyl Palmitate ‘s help, it is also possible to produce new, healthy skin cells to replace skin previously damaged by acne. However, Vitamin A palmitate pharmaceutical grade and food grade or Retinyl Palmitate do not have the ability to communicate with a cell until it has been broken down into retinoic acid. Once this breakdown is complete, communication begins and the cells' turnover rate increases, thus speeding up the production of collagen.

Vitamin A palmitate pharmaceutical grade and food grade or Retinyl Palmitate is considered to be an exfoliator (albeit more gentle than pure retinol), and its effect of repeatedly shedding the upper dermal layer forces the skin to produce new cells.
