Albendazole and Fenbendazole are Vet-use pharmaceutical Raw material.
They can be used along or together with other APIs to make veterinary drugs or medicines.
Albendzole: there are CP standard and USP Standard. Usually USP standard is a little better. And USP Albendazole price is about USD1 higher than CP Albendazole.
Here are the test method for Fenbendazole
Fenbendazole for veterinary use contains not less than 98.0 per cent and not more than the equivalent of 101.0 per cent of methyl [5-(phenylsulphanyl)-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl]carbamate, calculated with reference to the dried substance.
A white or almost white powder, practically insoluble in water, sparingly soluble in dimethylformamide, very slightly soluble in methanol.
Examine by infrared absorption spectrophotometry (2.2.24), comparing with the spectrum obtained with fenbendazole CRS. Examine the substances prepared as discs.
Heavy metals (2.4.8)
1.0 g complies with limit test C for heavy metals (20 ppm). Prepare the standard using 2 ml of lead standard solution (10 ppm Pb) R.
Loss on drying (2.2.32)
Not more than 1.0 per cent, determined on 1.000 g by drying in an oven at 100C -105C for 3 h.
Sulphated ash (2.4.14)
Not more than 0.3 per cent, determined on 1.0 g.
Dissolve 0.200 g in 30 ml of anhydrous acetic acid R, warming gently if necessary. Cool and titrate with 0.1M perchloric acid, determining the end-point potentiometrically (2.2.20).
1 ml of 0.1M perchloric acid is equivalent to 29.94 mg of C15H13N3O2S. Fenbendazole
